As the relatively new technology progresses, the plasma TV has become more and more commonplace in home entertainment centers. As the name implies, these television rely on different gases which, vacuum sealed in their plasma form inside of tiny pixels, change colors in order to produce the image you see on the screen.
Unlike standard televisions, the plasma TV has no need for a large, bulky cathode ray tube. The CRT’s large size is the reason why older TVs have a box shaped frame. While the cost to size ratio is fairly similar, plasma screens have a much larger range of sizes at the moment.
